Platform Role & B2B Status

Gigzilla operates as a B2B matching and event infrastructure platform. By signing up or interacting with our services, you acknowledge that Gigzilla is not an booking agency, broker, employer, or talent agent.

We provide the software marketplace infrastructure (including availability calendars, automated matches, profile reviews, location filtering, and billing automation) to facilitate independent agreements. We bear no joint employer liabilities and do not direct performance parameters.

02 /

Legally Binding Gig Contracts

When a Venue/Planner triggers a booking match and an Artist accepts, the platform automatically drafts and executes a legally binding direct contract between the Venue/Planner and the Artist.

This contract includes performance duration, technical rider compliance, typical fee details, location parameters, and the cancellation policy tier selected by the parties. Gigzilla is not a signatory or party to these direct agreements and declines all contract breach liabilities.

03 /

Stripe Direct Payments, Invoicing & Billing

To secure bookings, event payments are processed directly through Stripe Connect. Direct Stripe transfers are automatically routed to the Artist\'s connected bank account within 24 to 72 hours after successful gig completion, subject to no dispute flags.

Invoices are automatically generated and emailed on behalf of the Artist upon event lock-in. Any recurring subscription tier payments made to Gigzilla by partners are billed monthly or annually and are completely non-refundable, except where required under governing consumer laws.

Cancellation Tiers & Reliability

All bookings are subject to one of four cancellation tiers that govern payouts and refunds:

  • Soft: Full refund to the Venue if cancelled at least 24 hours prior to set start time.
  • Standard: 50% payout to the Artist if cancelled inside 48 hours; full refund if cancelled prior.
  • Strict: 100% locked-in payout to the Artist if cancelled inside 7 days.
  • Off: No cancellation protections exist. Open market contract risk is assumed by both parties.

Any member cancellation (late withdrawals) or physical no-show triggers an immediate deduction from the offending user's platform Reliability Score (which starts at 100%). Scores falling below 80% will suffer matching filters, visible warning badges on listings, or full platform suspension.

05 /

Data Handling & Compliance Verification

To satisfy public event safety standards, Gigzilla reviews and archives compliance documentation uploaded by onboarded profiles, including:

  • Public Liability Insurance (PLI): Required for all staging acts.
  • Portable Appliance Testing (PAT): Mandatory for acts bringing electrical amplification.
  • DBS Background Certifications: Mandatory for all Children's Entertainers.

Additionally, base location details and radius telemetry searches are stored to verify travel capabilities. Personal details are securely hashed in accordance with UK GDPR requirements.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
